DASH into December

When the COVID-19 outbreak took over our city and our country this spring, DASH’s doors remained open, and our programs were up and running 24/7. Our priority is, and always has been, keeping survivors of domestic and sexual violence safe with access to a new furnished home of their own.

DASH is celebrating all the good things that happened in the midst of the chaos, including being there for the survivors and families who needed us most when many safe havens had to close their doors. As always, DASH was on the front lines whenever help was needed.

One of our partner organizations reached out during this time of need, seeking DASH’s support for a survivor in crisis. Our skilled advocates helped her navigate the complex process of securing safe housing and resources to start on her journey towards recovery from abuse.

“I would just like to send you a thank you note. I still can’t believe I have my own place. I remember crying when you said it was ready for me. Your support is helping me to finally get some peace and closure and I am so happy to be getting a new start as I work to put my horror story behind me. Thank you again for all you do for those in need.” -Kathryn

We are incredibly grateful to youour communityfor standing with us this year. Our services were called upon more than ever and you stepped up with us to meet the need. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.

As we approach the holidays, we ask you to please consider making an end of year donation to continue your support of DASH, and the survivors who depend on us. You can help prevent homelessness by helping us end the year strong and prepared to face whatever lies ahead.
