Inspiring Hope, Creating Change: DASH's Year-End Campaign
$188,503 raised
$150,000 goal
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Helping domestic and sexual violence survivors is what we do. Every day, right here in Greater Washington region, there are thousands of survivors and families seeking safety. They need DASH.
Our programs work. We start at the beginning, finding an individual or family fleeing violence a safe place to stay for one night or more. We then work with survivors to stabilize their future by helping them move into permanent housing, offering financial assistance for emergency needs, providing access to counseling, and offering additional wraparound services.
Two of our programs especially need your help during this season of giving: our Safe Nights Fund covers emergency hotel stays during critical moments when survivors and their families need to relocate immediately, transportation costs, and developing plans for long-term housing; and our Survivor Resilience Fund provides flexible financial assistance for home security measures, education or job training expenses, moving costs, legal or medical fees, and the first month's rent, ensuring survivors have the resources to implement crucial safety measures, fostering an environment conducive to healing and recovery, and promoting independence by funding career training and educational programs.
We urgently need to replenish these two funds to meet hundreds of survivors' emergency and long-term needs over the coming months. Our goal is to raise $150,000 from our generous supporters this holiday season. Your contribution to these funds will provide immediate relief and sow the seeds of long-term empowerment for survivors and their families.
